The day after

I'm totally suffering from an Inauguration hangover today ...

Kates and I were up past midnight last night watching the day's coverage. And we tuned into some of the live coverage just in time to see the President and First Lady arrive at their last ball of the night.

Today it's all over. And we're back to where we started ...

At least it's fun and fascinating to look at all the day's newspaper front pages and photos ....

There are some great cartoons out there this morning, too ... My favorites come from David Fitzsimmons, Gary Brookins, Kevin Siers and Dana Summers.

And here's some good reading ...
a Obama spoke words worthy of our nation
a The Line? Obama delivers a speech full of choice ones
a After 36 Years, Joe Biden Has a New Job
a In His Moment, Many Feel Echoes Of Their Own Stories
a Turnabouts ... Fascinating. I remember that 2001 Onion story well.
a Obamas dance to 'At Last'
a John Williams's 'Simple' Misunderstanding ... I don't agree with this viewpoint. But found it interesting nontheless.
a Nation’s Many Faces in Extended First Family
a A Day Best Captured by Image, Not Narrative
a Exit the Boy King ... They wanted to make absolutely, positively certain that W. was gone. It was like a physical burden being lifted, like a sigh went up of “Thank God. Has Cheney’s wheelchair left the building, too?” ... Nice.
